A new game has arrived. Yeah I'm talking about the new Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

The game was released on October 28, 2008 in North America and October 31, 2008 in Europe. Though in Malaysia, it hasn't released yet (I think), that doesn't stop me to play rite?

Basically there's 3 nation each has different and unique ability. The time is set in which World War 2 never happened. Instead of United States of America as a single great power, there's two more nation which is Soviet Union and Empire of The Rising Sun. At the very beginning, the player will be shown on how Colonel Cherdenko built a time travel machine and bring him back to the past to eliminate Einstein after his speech at International Physics Conference in Brussels. Without Einstein, the United States no longer capable of building new technology thus makes Soviet as one of the great power. This also give rise of new empire which Japan has modern technology and most sophisticated army in the world.

Good news for those who love playing online. Before a battle (campaign) start, player will given an option whether to play solo or playing online. Each campaign battle, player will have one co-operative ally, playable with artificial intelligence (AI) or with another online player. Great isn't it? No longer facing enemy alone.

Now, I just finished 2 of 3 campaign which is Soviet Union and Allied. After this is the Empire of The Rising Sun campaign. And I can give full credit to this game. It's absolutely AMAZING! 5 star! One of the best real-time strategy-based-game I've ever played. For strategy-game-freak like me, the best game so far is Age of Empire 3 and Red Alert 3. I love Age of Empire because of the fact used in the game is quite true based on history. And also I love medieval war. The war that use explosive weapon such as cannon or musket. The war that you can tear down the walls, arranging the army in lines, combat with swords, horses etc. But this Red Alert 3, it's just great. New technology, different superweapons. Photon Collider, Vacuum Bomb and Psionic Deciminator each for the Allied, Soviet Union and Empire respectively. Awesome!

What? Don't ask me where I bought the DVD. Try and search throughout KL. You will not find it. Trust me. I've been to Low Yat Plaza and I realized that there's no game retailers there anymore. Maybe because of the regular raid by the authority, they don't want to take the risk. It took me 2 days just to download this game from Rapidshare. Well, thanks to Aizat he has premium account on rapidshare, I can download multiple files at once. I know it's somewhat illegal but hey, you want to wait for months or buy the RM300 something DVD just to play this game? I don't think so. Besides it is tedious to order online. You'll have to pay either credit card, money order, pay pal etc. That's absurd.

For those who wants to play, this is the system requirement.

Haha. You know. Way below minimum requirement. What to expect? This 2006 model laptop. So outdated. So if you one of the patient-kind player like me, try this. And of course, the motherboard temperature will rise abruptly which makes me buy new USB fan (not the cooling pad, the fan).

If not, when you play the campaign, at some point it will crash. This link is to fixed it. And one advice, do not update anything if the game ask to. Trust me, I've downloaded the update and after that you will be asked for the registration code. Well, only if you already purchased the original copy then you can update it.
